The sound of cowbells, a meadow full of swaying cotton grass and the view of a mountain lake with rippling water:
This is what it looks like, the perfect alpine summer in Salzburg's Lungau.

Salzburg's Lungau, a good 100 kilometers from Mozart's city of Salzburg, is not only the sunniest region in Austria,
but was also awarded the “UNESCO Biosphere Park Salzburg Lungau & Carinthian Nockberge” for the magnificent natural landscape.

The “Lungauer TAUERN KRONE” is a hiking and trail running route on existing hiking trails in the Niedere Tauern.
With a route of 108 kilometers and 8,000 meters in altitude, the Lungau TAUERN KRONE is something unique.
