In order to be able to assign an entry to a person, you must register first. After registering, you will be asked whether the app can access your location. Please allow this. Your location is required so that you can make entries and orient yourself in your surroundings in the map view. If you set it to “always allow,” SummitLynx can also provide you with subsequent check-in suggestions.
Plan your route and start hiking/running.
When you arrive at a checkpoint, scan the QR code, it will automatically redirect you to the app. Now you can create your summit book entry, the points to be received at the checkpoint will be saved automatically. If you don't have an internet connection locally, that's not a problem. Your location is recognized using GPS and your entry is cached. When you have returned home and have an internet connection, open the app briefly and wait until the entry has been completely transferred. You can recognize this because it is no longer grayed out but is completely visible.
If you have achieved a certain number of points within the specified period, you will automatically receive a certificate by email from SummitLynx confirming your hiking pin. With this certificate you can pick up your gift in person at the tourist office in Tamsweg from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. lunch break). If you are traveling at the weekend, please send us an email with your address and the certificate and we will send you the prices by post.
